I didn't want to bore anyone with my travels over the weekend so... with a new week I have some renewed energy. Thanks everyone for the comments and encouragement. This is a little tougher than I expected... actually I didn't know what to expect.

Saturday Nelson and I biked to our favorite breakfast spot (if you are ever in Meridian, Id must stop into Sunrise Cafe) a whole 1.9 miles!

Since I was ahead of schedule on my distance I slacked off (oops). For the whole weekend my trusty pedometer (still need a name for him) said I clocked 4.2 miles. That is below average for one day! Let alone 2 full days.

Monday I went to spin class and biked 17 miles! So I think that helps make up for some of my weekend.

If you have read this far you either love me a lot or have nothing to do :) hope it's because you love me.

All for now... need to think of something to do for Nelson for valentines! I won't bore you with our valentines morning but.... maybe I will... I woke up to some beautiful violin music. I jumped out of bed and there in my dining room was my handsome husband playing for me :) He made a beautiful breakfast, mimosas and a nice cup of hot coffee. I feel like such a lucky girl to have a man like him in my life.

Just a quick little update...

I indeed took it easy on Thursday... I only walked a total of 3.2 miles! But Friday I was at it again. I rode the bike for 18.3 miles and walked for 2 miles (thanks to Nelson walking around the mall with me).

Wow! I'm a bit sore. I ran 2 miles and biked 6 miles yesterday morning (Wednesday). The muscles in my legs are not happy about my new adventure. I bought a foam roller and have been rolling the pain away. I also bought a cute little pedometer. I put it on about 4:30 in the evening and walked .98 miles before the night was through. Since Moreno Valley is quite a ways I decided that I am going to count the times that I am walking through my house, mall, grocery store etc. Going to take today a little easier because I want my legs to have some time to recover. Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement!

Today was a great first day out. I went to spin class this morning and biked 16.2 miles. This evening when Nelson and I went to the gym I was on the elyptical for 1.5 miles. My little pedometer app on my phone said that I walked 1056 feet which is 0.2 miles. I am not sure that the app works really well so I am on a mission to find a pedometer that works.

These last few weeks I have had quite a bit of time on my hands. This is the first time since Nelson and I were married that I have not been working and/or going to school. I sat down and wondered... What am I going to do now?!

I cook. I clean. I do laundry. I sit and make cards. I entertain (thanks Chris Hill, Zach Z, Cheryl E and Melissa W for making January a full month). I wait patiently for my husband to come home from work. But something is still lacking...

On May 31st I am turning 25!!! Oh NO!!

Here comes some serious evaluating of my life... a quarter of a century has gone by... and what have I accomplished? What do I want to accomplish?

I have decided that before my 25th birthday I am going to walk, run, or bike from my doorstep to my parents doorstep (not literally, just that many miles)!

According to trusty google it is 839 miles! There are 118 days until my birthday. That means I need to walk, run or bike an average of 7 miles a day. This is going to be a huge undertaking but I think that if I put my mind to it, I can do it! I will be posting my progress here hopefully everyday. If not every couple days. Please help me with encouraging comments and travel with me from 981 N Stonehenge Way, Meridian, ID to 27760 Via De La Real, Moreno Valley CA!!!

Any walking, running or biking partners out there?!

Been trying to keep myself busy lately so I have dipped into my card making materials! I've been having some fun with my create a critter cartridge for my cricut. It's been too long. Love that Nelson doesn't mind that I use all my free time for myself.

Doggie play date

Today was a beautiful day in Boise at least 45 degrees and a beautiful blue sky. We were invited over to Sam and Shanna Vail's to have a doggie play date. Riley is a three month old beagle. The girls had a great time and so did we! I hope this will be the first of many play dates.

Riley and Bella hit it off like best friends.

Tika is a great mother figure to any little pup. Riley was super submissive to Tika and would barrel roll as soon as Tika came near.

I have been sitting here for the past 30 minutes catching up on everyones blogs while I eat my delicious biscotti and realized that it is high time that I caught up on my own blog.

Earlier this week Nelson and I "celebrated" our 6 month anniversary. Here is my little list of a few great things about marriage:

1. I am married to my best friend. When something great happens I can't wait to tell him. When I am sad I know that his arms are wide open to hold me.

2. I don't have to go home at night because I am already home!

3. I know the punch line to most of his jokes.

4. I love just hanging out with my man and our 2 doggies(even though they have terrible breath... the dogs not Nelson)

5. I love when Nelson tucks me in at night and we talk about the good things that happened in the day.

I know there are many more things about marriage that I cant wait to experience!

Announcement!!

We are getting married!! Old news for most but news none the less. Here is my story... It was a "normal" saturday. I went over to Nelsons' house (he was still sleeping, of course). We went and washed our cars, cleaned up poop in the backyard, vacuumed, mowed the lawn etc. After we had finished all of our chores Nelson told me that he had an errand to run so I went shopping (bought 2 pairs of shoes!) When I got home Nelson told me to close my eyes and walked me out the the patio.... And there in the lawn was the most beautiful bike I had ever seen! We have been saying that we wanted to ride bikes this summer and I said that all I wanted on my bike was a bell and a basket. and i got just that(with flowers in my basket too)! Then Nelson got down on his knee and asked me to marry him!!!! And I said YES!!!! He then told me to look in my basket at there was the most beautiful watch! We are really happy and look forward to a

life together.

For Nelson's birthday I threw him an 1980's themed party. Since I wasn't alive for much of the 80's Nelson had to help me out quite a bit. We went to the Goodwill and got some great stuff. Nelson created an 80's mix of music and we danced the night away.

Anyone need two male models?

* Eric bought the white hightops even though they were a size or two too small.

Thanks everyone who came and made our party so much fun. The streamers stayed up for just over a month because Nelson thought it made the house look festive. And his birthday balloon is still up!

Here are some pictures from January. We got about six inches of snow one day and I thought that I could get it all shoveled before Nelson got home from work. So I went to Freddy's and all they had was a youth shovel. I figured that since I am not very tall that it would work just fine. Well after about an hour and a half or so I had the front walkway and about a foot on the driveway! Who knew that shoveling snow was so hard?! Anyways, Nelson came home and helped me. We ended up using an old suitcase that mom and dad had given me to bring back my Christmas loot!

I loved writing in the sand at the beach and now I get to write in the snow!

BONUS: The waves don't come by and ruin it!

I know it is march and these are Christmas pictures but I say better late than never. Nelson and I went down to CA to spend Christmas with my family. Here is just a little of the fun that we had. Hopefully more of recent events are coming!!
